Kristin Wilson's practice area focuses on drug and alcohol offenses, sexual offenses, and violent crimes. Kristin enjoys a robust pretrial motion practice with an eye toward finding and correcting constitutional violations. However, her favorite part of practicing criminal defense is getting to know and connect with her clients and humanize them to the court and juries.
Prior to coming to Brown, Bradshaw & Moffat, Kristin worked as a Law Clerk and clinical intern at the Salt Lake Legal Defender Association. There, she worked on state criminal cases ranging from minor traffic infractions to capital murder. She also participated in the CJA Third Year Mentor program, which allowed her to work on and assist attorneys on court-appointed federal criminal cases.
During her time in law school, Kristin served as an Articles Editor for the Utah Law Review; the President and Treasurer of the Utah Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers at the University of Utah; and worked at the law school as a Faust Library Research Fellow.
Kristin has also worked with the Rocky Mountain Innocence Center (RMIC), a non-profit organization that works to correct and prevent wrongful convictions in Utah, Wyoming, and Nevada. As a result of her work at RMIC, Kristin was awarded the Lionel Frankel Public Interest Fellowship and the Spurgeon Public Interest Fellowship.
Kristin graduated as a William H. Leary Scholar from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law where she also received a graduate certificate in Criminal Law.
Prior to law school, Kristin attended Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
Very satisfied with the outcome of my case due to all the hard work Kristin Wilson put in before, during, and after the matter. Very attentive, professional and reliable. If I called she answered and did everything it took to achieve the desired result for my legal situation.
